Nikkei learners of Japanese are not fully heritage language learners, nor are they fully second language learners. They occupy a liminal space between the two poles, and their linguistic abilities fall within a broad spectrum. We designed curricula that teach the foundations of the Japanese language while recognizing our learners’ varied socio-linguistic contexts. Course Length, Cost, and Materials
Duration
The length of our courses will depend on the course level and type.
Our pilot course for beginners will run for 4 weeks. Generally, our courses run for 8 weeks. Classes are held for 1 hour, twice a week (so there are 2 hours of class/week).
Cost
Course prices include all study materials, live Zoom lessons in small groups of no more than 15 students, and weekly drop-in times for extra support. Subscribe to our mailing list to receive special early bird offers and updates!
Materials
We customize our teaching materials so that they are tailored to our teaching and learning objectives for you, Nikkei learners. All course materials are provided at no additional cost.

In the event that Japanese for Nikkei terminates your use of our Services such as in the case of you violating our Privacy, Terms and Conditions and/or Student Code of Conduct, or if you voluntarily terminate your membership, there will be no refund or exchange of any kind.
